About the Role

We are a highly regarded not-for-profit, values-based organisation, offering residential, community and in-home aged care for over 30 years, to older people living in and around the city.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a residential kitchen setting
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve efficient meal service
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Food Handling (desirable)
  • Practical understanding of catering and nutrition needs of older adults in residential care
  • Ability to comply with safe work practices and food handling practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Basic kitchen knowledge and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret dietary information
  • Experience in Aged Care food service
  • Knowledge and understanding of Person Centred Care
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
