About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at MannaCare, a highly regarded not-for-profit organisation providing residential, community, and in-home aged care services.

This is a casual role offering flexible shifts within our residential kitchen, allowing you to work close to home in the Doncaster location.

As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage services to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.

About You:
  • You hold a Certificate in Food Handling, which is desirable but not essential.
  • You have a practical understanding of catering and nutrition needs of older adults in residential care.
  • You are able to comply with safe work practices and food handling practices.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
  • You have basic kitchen knowledge and experience, with the ability to read and interpret dietary information.
  • You have experience in Aged Care food service and knowledge of Person Centred Care.
  • You are familiar with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • You hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
