We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Model Risk Management team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of key financial and risk models used by Macquarie.
As a key member of our Risk Management Group, you will play a critical role in reviewing and validating models and calculations used for Market Risk, Treasury Risk, and Liquidity Risk. This includes performing validation for risk models designed to comply with regulatory frameworks such as APS116, APS117, and APS210.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of risk specialists in performing model validations and risk assessments
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including Market Risk, Prudential Risk, Group Treasury, and the FRTB project team
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance and training to team members on risk-based model validations
- Partner with stakeholders to influence favourable outcomes through effective communication and negotiation skills
- Extensive experience in risk management, with a focus on model validation and risk assessment
- Relevant qualification in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics or statistics
- Good understanding of financial markets and key risk factors for financial products
- Ability to lead a team and provide guidance and training to team members
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
