About the Role

We are seeking Behaviour Support Specialists to join our team at the Victorian Government's Youth Justice Precinct at Cherry Creek. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting young people to build better futures for themselves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clinical and unit-based staff to deliver evidence-based psychosocial programs to support young people's rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
  • Attend community meetings with staff and young people to use skills in training and group facilitation to further support and guide staff in engaging and intervening with young people to address their behaviour.
  • Develop and implement strategies to respond to incidents and manage complex behaviours in the units.
What You'll Need
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends.
