The Role

We are seeking an experienced Investments Domain Architect to develop, maintain, and implement architecture that supports the strategic goals and technology needs of our investment business.

As the successful candidate, you will collaborate with leaders within Investments to create scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that facilitate robust investment analysis, decision-making processes, trading, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Reference Architecture: Define and maintain the reference architecture for the investment domain, ensuring alignment with Rest enterprise architecture principles and standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work with business stakeholders, enterprise teams, other solution architects, and IS&T delivery teams to understand business needs and translate them into architecture solutions.
  • Deliver Solution Design Artefacts: Participate in projects to deliver solution design artefacts, including conceptual designs, high-level designs, technical assessments, and solution options papers.
  • Conduct Architecture Reviews and Assessments: Conduct architecture reviews and assessments for the investment domain, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications demonstrating expertise in enterprise architecture or investments software would be beneficial.

You must have at least 5 years of experience in architecture within investments and 10 years in financial services. Your expertise should include:

  • Experience communicating vision and setting architectural roadmaps.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex investment systems and platforms.
  • Familiarity with front, middle, and back-office operations and the technology required to support them.
  • Strong grasp of investment workflows, trade lifecycle, risk management, and performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the investment industry.
  • Experience working within an enterprise architecture governance framework.
