Panel Beater Position

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Panel Beater to join our team.


Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition through high-quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Check received parts for correctness and defects
  • Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
  • Label and store parts
  • Notate broken parts and extra repairs and submit to Estimator as requested
  • Check new parts for correctness and damage, communicating defects to Parts Manager/Production Manager
  • Colour mix and match vehicle after preparation and scheduling for painting
  • Build and maintain colour library
  • Prep, prime, and paint vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
  • Buff and denib vehicle
  • Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards, and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
  • Reassemble vehicle
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
  • Clean workbay and workshop areas
  • Coach apprentices when required
  • Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and in a workable condition
  • Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AQF Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Panel Beater
  • Strong commitment to working in a safe manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Reliable, punctual & hardworking
