Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Employment Consultant to join our team. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting participants with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals.
Job Responsibilities:- Deliver services using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model, which is widely recognized as the most effective approach to employment for people with mental illness.
- Support participants throughout their employment journey, from vocational profiling and job search to resume preparation, interview coaching, placement, post-placement support, and ongoing support.
- Strive to exceed individual and team performance targets, delivering sustainable employment outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the service.
- Establish strong partnerships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
- Collaborate with NDIS and community providers to ensure wrap-around supports for participants' wellbeing.
- Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.
- A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field.
- Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, their supports, and employers.
- Specialist IPS training and access to evidence-based practices.
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary professionals, including psychologists, positive behaviour support practitioners, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, and rehabilitation consultants.
- Employee wellbeing initiatives, including regular massages, team-building events, ergonomic assessments, and workplace adjustments.
