Job Opportunity: Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in Cardiac Physiology and be eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

The Diagnostic Cardiology Department is undergoing growth, with a new Cath Lab opening. This presents an exciting opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist to expand their knowledge, gain experience in basic to advanced EP procedures, and contribute to the care of patients from diverse backgrounds.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in the EP Lab and Cath Lab, assisting with the management of Cardiac Implanted Electronic Devices (PPMs, ICDs, ILRs).
  • Develop expertise in using different types of Cardiology equipment, reporting systems, and our Electronic Medical Record.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call roster on a rotational basis.

Essential Requirements:

  • An undergraduate Science degree and relevant experience (3+ years) in Cardiology.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Pacing, with current accreditation with the Australian Council of Clinical Physiology (ACCP).
  • Effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
  • A desire to build expertise in Cardiology and learn from experienced colleagues.
