Softtest pays pty ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining our Linux systems infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Linux Systems: You will be responsible for designing and implementing Linux systems that meet the needs of our business. This includes selecting the most suitable Linux distribution, configuring the system, and ensuring it is secure and scalable.
- Implement Security Best Practices: You will be responsible for implementing security best practices to protect our systems and data. This includes understanding and implementing security protocols, such as Essential 8 and the Australian Government Information Security Manual.
- Collaborate with Teams: You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure that our Linux systems are integrated with our applications and services.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, including cloud computing, containerization, and DevOps.
Requirements:
- 5+ Years of Experience: You must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Linux systems administration.
- Strong Technical Skills: You must have strong technical skills, including proficiency in Linux systems administration, security best practices, and collaboration tools.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Australian Citizenship: You must be an Australian citizen and reside in Australia.
- Negative Vetting Level 1: You must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.
