As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in setting up our operations with strong leadership and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory legislation.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, supervising, and reviewing electrical engineering standards and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. You will also supervise and advise on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations at the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical engineering standards and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Supervise and advise on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations.
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of all relevant electrical safety requirements, records, legislation, and policies.
- Liaise and communicate with regulatory bodies as required.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure effective delivery of electrical engineering services.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical engineering services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve electrical engineering services and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering.
- Practical experience in underground development mining methods.
- Effective leadership style and time management.
- Uncompromising commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality.
- S123 and G2 Supervisory Certificates.
- Certificate of Competence to be Electrical Engineering Manager.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Emergency preparedness qualification - Establish and maintain underground coal mine emergency preparedness and response systems.
- G3 Certificate - Establish and maintain the risk management system (RIIRIS601D) desirable.
