Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the risk and compliance operations of the Business Banking team, including performing risk reporting, data analytics provision, and hindsight reviews on incidents
  • Providing insights to the quality and maturity of compliance management with effective use of analytical tools
  • Undertaking hindsight review on incidents, issues, and compliance assessment to meet group standards
  • Constantly collaborating with Line 1 Risk & Compliance team in Business Bank
  • Extracting data/metrics from various sources as input into Compliance Dashboard to formulate reliable and relevant compliance insights for group and regulatory reporting
  • Building effective relationships with Group Compliance, Operational Risk, Controls Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs
  • Supporting the regulatory interaction for Business Bank, with APRA, ASIC, AFCA, and CCMC

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical and reporting function for large financial institutions
  • Good understanding of risk and compliance practices in corporate Financial Services
  • Genuine interest in learning and researching about the legal and regulatory environment impacting a Retail/Business Bank
  • Experience reporting to/dealing with banking regulators is highly desirable
  • Can think critically on your feet in a changing environment
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Good data analysis skills using Excel and MS tools
