As a key member of our team, the Dentist will play a vital role in shaping and achieving our organization's vision and goals.
About the Role
The Dentist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive and culturally appropriate dental care to our clients, ensuring improved oral health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing skilled dental health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment services to clients.
- Providing professional support to oral health therapists and fellow healthcare providers.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes.
- Participating in continuous quality improvement processes to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Dental Science or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Graduate Dentist status.
- A Radiation Use Licence.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Experience supervising dental students.
- Known Blood Borne Viral Status, including HIV, Hepatitis B, and C antibody levels.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
- Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
- Decisive listening, influencing, and persuasive skills.
- A Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
- A willingness to obtain a National Police Check.
- Indemnity Insurance.
