Senior WHS Lawyer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled lawyer to join our team in Queensland. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with expertise in workplace health and safety law.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of WHS law and regulations, as well as experience in advising on incident response, enforcement notices, and regulatory engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Advising on Incident Response: Provide strategic advice on safety and compliance matters related to incident response, including managing complex files and working under pressure.
- WHS Prosecutions: Conduct prosecutions for indictable offences and reckless conduct, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Regulatory Engagement: Act as a liaison between the organization and government bodies, providing expert advice on WHS matters.
- You should be an associate-level lawyer with a strong focus on WHS and regulatory law.
- Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills are essential for this role.
- Experience in prosecutions, inquests, or complex advisory matters is highly regarded.
- Work alongside experienced practitioners who have led landmark industrial manslaughter prosecutions.
