Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for acquiring land for solar PV and battery energy storage systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as experience with site assessments, feasibility studies, and project budgeting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess suitable sites for solar PV and/or BESS development
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners
  • Interface with local planning authorities and network service providers
  • Manage land acquisition consultants and agents when required
  • Coordinate with other team members during the feasibility assessment of connection and planning
  • Engage and negotiate with landowners for land exclusivity agreements, options to lease and options to purchase
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Site Assessment and Feasibility Studies: Strong knowledge of site assessment and feasibility studies, with the ability to conduct site visits and analyze data
  • Land Acquisition: Experience in land acquisition, with the ability to negotiate with landowners and secure agreements
  • Local Planning Authorities: Knowledge of local planning authorities and regulations, with the ability to interface with them effectively
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science or planning
