The Regional Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Hospital to Aged Care Dementia Support Program, which aims to enhance the transition experience out of hospital for individuals living with dementia.

As this national initiative reaches a critical juncture, transitioning to business as usual, the Regional Manager ensures that the Dementia Support Australia (DSA) service is tailored to meet the unique needs of individual clients and delivers on its key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, establishing robust clinical supervision and governance systems, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the service meets administrative, financial, risk, and quality objectives. The Regional Manager also provides support to state-based Team Leaders and contributes to the development of strategic plans for each State.

To excel in this role, you will need to be committed to delivering high-quality patient care, have experience working at a senior level in a multi-disciplinary environment, and possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the DSA service
  • Establish and maintain robust clinical supervision and governance systems
  • Engage with stakeholders, including State Government and aged care sector leaders
  • Ensure the service meets administrative, financial, risk, and quality objectives
  • Support state-based Team Leaders and contribute to strategic planning

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health
  • Eligibility for registration as a Health Practitioner in Australia
  • Previous experience working at a senior level in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
