About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will drive engagement and participation in social, recreational and cultural activities that empower residents' choices and independence. You will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

This is a permanent part-time role working 28 hours a fortnight, four days a week between 9am and 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Organise fun activities to support elderly customers every day
  • Drive engagement and participation in social, recreational and cultural activities
  • Empower residents' choices and independence

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create strong and caring communities.

We value highly developed organisation and time management skills, as well as an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete)
  • Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable)
  • A current NSW/ACT Drivers License and ability to take clients on outings
  • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or current clearance
  • Previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting
