About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering Enablers team at Macquarie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the application of Observability principles within our infrastructure, environments, and software. You will develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies, as well as strategies for canary releases, feature toggling, and rollback practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish release engineering best practices and develop reliability software patterns and practices.
  • Collaborate with feature teams to ensure reliability practices are integrated into development.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies.
  • Design and implement strategies for canary releases, feature toggling, and rollback practices.
About You

We are looking for a strong experience in software engineering, SLO, metrics, logging, and tracing. You should have a proven record of accomplishment in automating toil and excellent understanding of modern software development practices, tools, and technologies. Influence and technical leadership capabilities to drive change in environments, manage stakeholders, and get alignment cross-functionally are also essential.
