We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Manager to join our team at CDC Data Centres. As a Data Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest level of security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the data centre environment, including temperature, power, and security systems.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies 24/7, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
  • Manage assets and inventory, including data centre racks and hardware, using DCIM tools.
  • Conduct capacity planning, including physical space, power, and network ports.
  • Perform patch management, including data centre infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
  • Ensure data centre security, including access control and escorting personnel.
  • Collaborate with customers to confirm maintenance and upgrades.
  • Contribute to change management system inputs and action requests.
  • Communicate effectively with management and delivery teams on incidents and issues.
  • Perform approved hardware installation, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC).
  • Coordinate with 3rd party suppliers to meet project deliverables.
  • Create and assist with service delivery and operational processes, procedures, and reports.
  • Deliver services in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Support customers in maintaining TIA-942 standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices for data centre facility management.
  • Meet CDC's service level agreements and assist the delivery team in meeting service level objectives.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for all data centre related incidents.
  • Follow site-specific delivery procedures and record management procedures.
  • Comply with CDC's Policies and Procedures.

About You:

  • Experience providing services to Defence or Defence Industry.
  • Ability to rack server hardware.
  • Good knowledge of ICT hardware for incident management.
  • Understanding of networking and communications over copper and fibre.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Be available to work on-call hours when required.
  • Maintain flexibility in working hours when required.
  • ICT Hardware course or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical or electrical course or equivalent experience.
  • Diploma in IT-related course.
  • Understanding of TIA-942.
  • Existing AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 2 level.
