About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Warehouse and Transport Supervisor to join our team. As a key leader, you'll be responsible for planning and achieving business goals, leading and managing the warehouse team, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and Achieve Goals: Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and success.
  • Lead and Manage: Foster a positive work culture and manage the warehouse team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Follow Rules: Ensure all company policies and processes are followed, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Stay Compliant: Monitor and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to drive business success.
  • Schedule Staff: Plan and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Efficient Deliveries: Optimize delivery planning to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Support Vehicles: Coordinate after-hours support for delivery vehicles to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage Inventory: Oversee product storage and ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Ensure warehouse maintenance and cleaning are up to standard, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Documentation: Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly, maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Understand the complexities of our supply chain and be able to identify areas for improvement.
  • Human Resources Knowledge: Familiarity with HR processes and legal requirements, particularly safety and employee relations.
  • Consumer Protection: Knowledge of laws and regulations governing perishable food products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience with improving methods and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Community Awareness: Understanding of government, industry, and community programs that impact our business.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, influence, and drive change within the team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Thinking Skills: Logical and creative thinking, with a knack for innovation and problem-solving.
  • Warehouse Systems: Skilled in operating delivery vehicles and warehouse systems.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and other communication tools.
