Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Medical Inventory Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our inventory levels are maintained to support all requirements for surgical procedures. You'll work closely with our team leaders and ops managers to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

About the Role

This is a critical role that directly impacts the efficiency of our Loan Kits team. You'll play a vital part in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and services. Your attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume inventory will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and monitor stock movements to ensure timely restocking of consignment sets.
  • Coordinate with our team leaders and ops managers to ensure effective management of kit resources and efficient pick, pack, and dispatch processes.
  • Support our trauma business by working as part of a 24-hour on-call roster and participating in peak periods.
  • Prepare bookings to manage instrument sets and inventory levels for kits sent to hospitals.
  • Assist with packing and checking of sets as required.
  • Support all Medtronic set assets (inventory and non-inventory) on the premises.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products for planning and triage of sets.
  • Complete quarterly stock takes of all products in the territories within given KPIs.
  • Manage freight providers for effective delivery of sets to meet surgical demands.
  • Foster a culture of quality and compliance by following QMS for the loaner site in line with the Medtronic ISO13485 processes and published KPIs.
  • Comply with Medtronic's Quality, Finance, and Legal policies and procedures; respond to both internal and external audit.
  • Observe all health and safety policies and procedures and take all reasonable care that actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in inventory management and logistics, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Vocational or technical education and advanced certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control systems and computer literacy, including MS Office suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume inventory.
  • Excellent leadership, self-motivation, and commitment to being a leader within the team.
  • Results-oriented with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously but also as a team player.
