Highly Specialist Clinical Advisor

This pivotal position provides expert clinical advice and consultancy to referring sites within the NSW Telestroke Service.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 will drive practice development across NSW by offering a range of services in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the NSW Telestroke Working group, TSS host site team, Prince of Wales Hospital Stroke Department, and referring site teams.
The key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert clinical advice and consultancy services.
- Leading practice development initiatives across NSW.
- Collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice, leadership in strategic and clinical service planning, and expertise in organisational and cultural change management.
This role plays a vital part in the evaluation of the NSW Telestroke Service, including coordinating case reviews and clinical follow up to assess patient outcomes.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 will work closely with the TSS Nurse Educator to ensure a consistent, well-integrated clinical service is delivered. This position takes responsibility for the clinical supervision of referring site stroke coordinators and supports the development of care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
