Executive Governance Specialist

Job Description:

Right at Home is seeking a highly experienced Aged Care leader to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of governance leadership and strategic oversight, with the ability to critically analyse organisational financial, clinical and operational performance.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and organisational policies, and contributing their personal expertise to support the leadership and management of Right at Home.

This is a remunerated role, with appropriate remuneration to be discussed as part of the recruitment process. The role requires attendance at approximately 6 Brisbane based Board meetings a year with associated preparatory work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance leadership and strategic oversight for the operations of Right at Home;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and organisational policies;
  • Critically analyse organisational financial, clinical and operational performance;
  • Contribute your personal expertise to support the leadership and management of Right at Home;

Requirements:

  • Recent relevant clinical experience in the Aged Care sector;
  • Knowledge in cyber security in this sector would be highly regarded;
  • Significant board and/or executive experience in health, aged care, social enterprise or community services;
  • A strong demonstrable commitment to client centred care, and an ability to uphold and nurture this in complex financial and governance settings;
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management and fiduciary responsibility;
  • Strategic capability, collaborative spirit and sound judgment.
