Job Role: Project Director

Project Overview:

As a Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple residential projects from assessment to completion. This role involves managing subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality work while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage residential projects from assessment to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to guarantee top-notch work quality.
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure clear communication and trust throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively address challenges and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring invoicing aligns with project goals.
  • Manage documentation, scope changes, and variations efficiently.
  • Resolve onsite issues and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Contribute to a growing team, driving best practices and process improvements in Queensland.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in supervising residential construction projects, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in estimating as part of previous roles is essential.
  • Trade certification (Cert III) is preferred, with Cert IV or Diploma in Building & Construction being an advantage.
  • A strong understanding of Australian Standards, the Building Act, and compliance requirements is necessary.
  • Exceptional time management skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams, subcontractors, and complex builds is crucial.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a professional, approachable, and confident demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • A proactive mindset, taking ownership of problems and driving project momentum forward.
