Pediatric Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Oncology Nurse to join our team at The Royal Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to children with cancer and their families.
Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to children with cancer, including administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. You will work closely with our medical and allied health teams to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive care.
About the Role
As a Pediatric Oncology Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of children with cancer, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. You will be responsible for coordinating care, developing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality nursing care to children with cancer, including administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
* Work closely with our medical and allied health teams to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive care.
* Coordinate care, develop treatment plans, and provide education to patients and their families.
* Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP).
* Recent acute nursing experience is required, with oncology experience highly desirable.
