We offer a competitive salary range of $28.89 - $36.85 per hour (Casual Rate); $23.11 - $29.48 (Hourly Rate for Part-time or Full-time).

Your Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students, supporting their growth and development in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, including students with additional needs
  • Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organising educational materials

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality in dealing with young people and their needs
  • The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively in a team and to accept direction and support
  • Genuine care for the wellbeing of students
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting

Mandatory Requirements

To apply for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice
  • A minimum Cert III in Children's Services (or working towards) or equivalent
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA approved)
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
