This role is based at our Lidcombe site and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical maintenance resources, including covering plant and equipment repairs, maintenance, and installations.



Main Responsibilities

  2. Supervise all Lactalis trades employees and contractors, including rostering, timesheets, performance management, and training.
  3. Ensure the completion of planned and unplanned works to ensure reliable operation of all areas of the factory, minimizing plant downtime.
  4. Provide technical support and oversight of day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure timely and accurate maintenance response.
  5. Manage maintenance activities within the allocated maintenance budget.
  6. Maintain an adequate stock of mechanical spares to meet reasonable requirements.
  7. Provide after-hours support to site as required to ensure continued operation, on a roster basis.
  8. Focus on continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, and Efficiency by participating in site project work, either at site level or Capex level.
  9. Communicate effectively within the maintenance department and with all other departments.
  10. Mentor direct reports to ensure continued development of people and skills.
  11. Continuously develop personal technical and management skills.
  12. Ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  13. Perform all tasks and duties as reasonably requested by management.
  14. Seek continuous improvement opportunities within the business.
