Job Description

AppBank Operations is a 24x7, two-city model unified production management team supporting the business application of the firm using cutting-edge systems and processes. Our team adopts various tools developed by AppBank Engineering to automate failures, notify discrepancies, and restore health, focusing on continuous measurement of risk and cost.

We are looking for a highly skilled Associate to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality services and driving innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Work with team members to analyze and resolve application issues
  • Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends through code debugging or log analysis
  • Manage incidents and communicate effectively with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders
  • Improve application stability and performance by observing patterns, recurring failures, and issues, and advise application owners on permanent fixes
  • Automate failures and restore health using machine learning techniques and collaboration with the AppBank Engineering team
  • Challenge existing application setup, processing, and suggest alternative solutions to improve stability
  • Participate in Change Management process to manage risk in production environments
  • Build and improve run books for generalists to minimize operational errors and gain efficiency
  • Develop reports to track and manage application health and support service performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of software development experience
  • Practical experience with Data Structures concepts
  • Problem-solving skills in development or production environments, including root cause analysis and suggestion of ideas to resolve issues
  • Good communication skills to articulate technical and functional aspects of problems to drive solutions with App Dev teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience with structured or object-oriented programming languages (Java, C, C++, VB, .NET, ASP, Angular)
  • Scripting language experience (Shell script, Perl, JavaScript, Python)
  • RDBMS environment experience (Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle, DB2)

  • Experience in the Financial Service Industry
  • Experience in Cluster Computing and Big Data solutions (Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, XRS)
