Role Overview

Respect is a rapidly growing not-for-profit organisation providing aged care and retirement living services across TAS, NSW, and VIC.

We are seeking an experienced Catering Operations Officer to support our catering departments. The role involves regular travel to residential aged care facilities across VIC and NSW.

The Catering Operations Officer Role

The successful candidate will ensure catering compliance, team member training, and resident dietary information for designated homes. They will also promote opportunities for optimal performance and identify corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support sites in delivering and maintaining catering service standards across multiple states.
  • Provide best practice direction and leadership to catering staff ensuring holistic care.
  • Provide catering compliance advice to General Managers and Regional Area Managers.
  • Manage services delivered by site-based catering staff to ensure safe operating procedures.
  • Implement Respect systems to ensure residents' changing eating needs are met.
  • Ensure all catering services meet professional, organisational, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Implement food safety education and learning calendars for catering staff.
  • Assist with the selection, engagement, orientation, and training of catering staff.
  • Escalate compliance issues to the General Manager.
Requirements
  • A qualification as a Chef or Cook and current Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • A proven record in a similar role.
  • Experience in residential aged care, preferably managing multi-site catering services.
  • Sound Knowledge of Food Safety Compliance.
  • A current Driver's License and willingness to regularly travel.
  • A current National Police Certificate.
