An exciting opportunity has emerged in the Finance department of a well-established School in Melbourne's South-Eastern suburbs.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Finance and work closely with a team of 6 professionals.

Job Responsibilities- Prepare monthly financial reports, including commentaries, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate month-end processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger reviews.
- Maintain and update the asset register, and perform principal's reconciliation.
- Support budgeting activities and manage the 10-year financial model, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Review and approve capital project expenditures and prepayment purchase orders, ensuring budget controls are maintained.
- Assist with internal audits, financial administration, and compliance reporting such as ABS surveys.
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable and perform other duties as requested by management or the organisation.
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
- Strong numerical skills, analytical thinking, and a sound understanding of accounting principles are essential.
- Proven ability to interpret legislation and apply it effectively in financial contexts is necessary.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach, are required.
- Highly adaptable to change, with a focus on process improvement and problem-solving, is essential.
- Skilled in managing competing priorities and planning workload efficiently is necessary.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems is required.
- Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions.
- A salary range of $105,000 to $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
