About the Role

Deputy is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security practice, you will be responsible for identifying, testing, mitigating, and responding to security issues and incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Incident Response: Own and deliver projects to meet monthly, quarterly, or yearly roadmap objectives, including identifying and implementing necessary short and long-term risk-reduction measures.
  • Security Solutions Development: Define security solutions and collaborate with the team to select the best approach, ensuring the security and integrity of our applications.
  • Penetration Testing and Bug Bounty: Assist with penetration testing exercises, triage bug bounty submissions, and perform code reviews for security remedial work and fix code-based vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in discussions regarding web/mobile application vulnerability remediation, and work closely with other areas of the business to lead with influence and build a new security practice.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in information security fundamentals, with a strong understanding of cloud security best practices, distributed web-based applications services, and source code repositories.
  • Skills: Strong presentation and written documentation skills, with the ability to tell a story everyone can understand. Experience with secure SDLC, DAST, and SAST, as well as web application penetration testing, secure coding, and source code analysis.
  • Cloud Security: Understanding of cloud security best practices, including AWS tools around security, risk mitigation, and experience with cloud-based security solutions.
  • Application Security: Experience with distributed web-based applications services, including PHP, Go, and JS, and their security posture, risk, and experience with source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and associated security tooling.
