Job Opportunity: Clinical Systems Trainer

Our organization is seeking a skilled Clinical Systems Trainer to ensure that clinical staff are proficient in the use of electronic medical records and other Clinical Information Systems. This includes providing training, support, and ongoing development to users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain continuous professional development and knowledge relating to clinical information systems.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Assist the Clinical Application Support team with analysis of existing and future business processes and assist with development of clinical information systems to support these new processes.
  • Assist in management and resolution of Level 1 service desk incidents, requests, changes and problems and follow change control processes for both business hours and after-hours (on call).
  • Ensure timely escalation of critical issues to the Clinical Applications Support and Training Manager.
  • Participate in review of proposed development enhancements and functional specifications relevant to clinical information systems. Participate in software demonstrations and system testing, as required.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the Clinical Information System and other District Training and Support teams to optimize available resources and knowledge.
  • Ensure users understand district data security and information privacy policies and their responsibility in preserving the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Proactively participate in evaluation of ongoing and post implementation Clinical Information Systems training. Ensure all training attendance has been documented within My Health Learning.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check Clearance.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or qualifications in Pharmacy / Nursing / Health Sciences or equivalent demonstrated training and support experience with high level skills in facilitating learning processes.
  • Ability to travel across South Western Sydney Local Health District, work outside normal business hours when required, including on call support, and onsite support.
  • Valid Australian Drivers License.
