Role Overview

This position is responsible for coordinating all site-based emergency response activities, including training exercises and audits.

About the Position

  • Develop and implement the site's emergency management system in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Establish an effective emergency response strategy, aligned with the site's overall objectives.
  • Investigate incidents requiring emergency response support and assistance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage emergency response contracts to ensure essential functions and equipment serviceability.
  • Prioritize maintenance of the annual emergency drill schedule to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate delivery of emergency preparedness training to the emergency response team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency services leadership, preferably in a remote mining environment or similar.
  • Certificate IV Health Pre-Hospital Care (Ambulance) and Certificate III Mines Rescue.
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident reporting and investigation.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver mines rescue training.
