Lead the Creation and Establishment of a New School in Clinical Medicine

We are seeking a dynamic senior leader with strategic acumen, futures thinking, and a passion for advancing healthcare to lead the creation and establishment of a new school in Clinical Medicine.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaborative academic achievement.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance medical education and research.
  • Cultivate partnerships with diverse stakeholders including clinicians, industry, academic peers, community, policy makers, and government.

This is an excellent opportunity for a distinguished clinician and leader in Clinical Medicine to join the Faculty Executive Team in shaping the future of teaching, research, and engagement in this exciting new discipline at our institution.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A medical qualification registerable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligible for a clinical role with one of the health services.
  • Proven track record of highly developed leadership, as demonstrated by the ability to provide strategic focus and direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and exploit new opportunities in education, research, and the provision of services.
  • Strategic perspective to ensure sustainability and future growth.
  • Strong record in the advancement of medical and clinical education as well as curriculum development.
  • Recognised clinical expertise in the field of Medicine or subspecialty with distinction at the national and international level.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Record of experience in senior academic leadership and management at Hospital and/or University level.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience with the implementation of change initiatives.
  • Research Doctorate.
  • Sound understanding of the impact of changes in the higher education sector in Australia on our institution.
