Job Opportunity: HD Fitter for Underground Mining Equipment Repairs

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Heavy Duty Fitter for underground mining equipment repairs. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with mobile mining equipment, trade qualifications, and a strong understanding of safety procedures.

The role involves performing high-quality repairs and maintenance on underground mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. To succeed in this position, you will need to be proactive, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality repairs and maintenance on underground mining equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate with management regarding progress and any issues encountered

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with mobile mining equipment
  • Trade qualification (e.g., fitter and turner) and relevant certifications
  • Previous exposure to underground equipment and a strong understanding of safety procedures
  • A positive work ethic and a proactive attitude towards safety and quality assurance
  • A valid Australian Manual Drivers Licence and a National Police Clearance
