Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team in Northwest - Rouse Hill and Richmond or Southwest - Campbelltown. As an Occupational Therapist with McCall Gardens Community, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, deliver, and evaluate occupational therapy services that promote independence, participation, and inclusion in community life.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' occupational performance, identify areas of need, and develop personalized intervention plans to address these needs.
- Equipment Prescription and Recommendation: Prescribe and recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices to facilitate and enhance occupational performance.
- Community-Based Therapy and Assessments: Provide occupational therapy services in community settings, including in-clinic and community-based assessments, and develop strategies to promote participation and inclusion in community life.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and collaboration.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Qualifications: Minimum completion of an associated degree in occupational therapy.
- Experience: Significant experience in occupational therapy, preferably in community-based settings.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
