Music Teaching Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and passionate music teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach various instruments, including piano, and possess excellent communication skills.

The role involves delivering high-quality music education to students of all ages and skill levels. This includes fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, progressing students through structured lessons, and developing their musical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group music lessons, ensuring progression and a structured curriculum for all students.
  • Create professional lesson plans tailored to each student's needs, goals, and learning pace.
  • Assist with promoting the school through social media, contributing ideas and content that showcase student achievements and school events.
  • Support school events, including concerts and recitals, by ensuring student readiness.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and management to improve tuition quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized teaching environment, ensuring instruments and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Contribute positively to the school culture by promoting a supportive, inclusive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere for students and staff.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in music or equivalent qualification.
  • AMEB grade 8 or equivalent playing ability on their instrument/instruments.
  • A current Working with Children's Check and police clearance.
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • A commitment to maintaining a professional and organized teaching environment.
