Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will provide exceptional support in the front office and interact with patients, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have fantastic customer service skills, be able to multitask, prioritize workload, and communicate effectively with various individuals.

  • Meet and greet patients, patient billing, general administrative tasks
  • Appointment coordination and scheduling
  • Daily dispatching of medical correspondence
  • Providing administrative support to ophthalmologists
  • Liaising with specialists, hospitals, administration, and clinical teams
  • Surgical bookings, scanning, and filling of clinical notes and results

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and meet patients, handling patient inquiries and concerns.

- Manage appointment schedules and coordinate logistics with patients, specialists, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure efficient and accurate patient billing processes.

- Provide administrative support to ophthalmologists, including data entry, document management, and more.

- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

- Familiarity with medical terminology and concepts preferred.
