About the Role

Cancer Council NSW is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Finance, Strategy & Operations Division.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and approving contractual agreements
  • Provide advice on legal and regulatory issues
  • Develop policies, procedures, and training programs for staff
  • Protect the organisation's intellectual property
  • Monitor and report on changes to relevant legislation
  • Liaise with external lawyers
  • Review internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance


About You

You will have a tertiary qualification in law and a current practicing certificate, with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience. You will possess sound negotiating and drafting skills, emerging track record in managing legal activities, and experience interpreting and negotiating contracts.
