As a Local Area Coordinator, you will be the heartbeat of our organisation in your local community. Using your exceptional people skills, ability to multitask, and adaptability to assist participants in navigating the NDIS.

You will guide participants in their options to make informed choices while gathering information for the development of their NDIS plans to help further build capacity.

LACs also support NDIS participants in exploring ways to achieve their goals and help them understand how the funding in their plan works.

  • Working alongside people with disabilities, their families, and carers by ensuring linkage and referrals to community and mainstream services and/or services funded by the NDIA's Grant programs.
  • Developing strong positive community partnerships that support capacity building to ensure accessible and inclusive communities.
  • As the LAC role involves meeting with people with disability in their home or community as well as participating in place-based community development, travel within our service regions will be required.
  • This role may be required to work additional hours outside of core business hours to assist with achieving participant outcomes and/or community engagement activities.
