Ultrasound Specialist

Sonographer role at a regional hospital in New South Wales. Temporary Full Time position with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of general ultrasound exams, including MSK, obstetrics and interventional imaging to contribute to exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to allocate workloads according to skills and competencies, and participate in departmental rostering and on-call duties as required.
  • Utilize expertise to interpret request information, select optimal protocols and adapt protocols to various clinical scenarios ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and supervise or develop others where appropriate promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for medical imaging to sustain high-quality service provision.

Key Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate qualifications in ultrasound with current registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as a Sonographer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to provide a full range of general ultrasound exams, including MSK, obstetrics and interventional imaging.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, allocate workloads and participate in departmental rostering and on-call duties as required.
  • Proficiency in interpreting requests, selecting optimal protocols and adapting protocols to clinical scenarios.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and contribution to supervision or development of others.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying legislation, regulations, policies and procedures to medical imaging to ensure sustainable service delivery.
