Job Description

MTC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operator to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

  • As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, including planning, organizing, and executing production tasks.
  • You will work closely with our production team to meet quality and productivity standards, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning:
    • Liaise with supervisors and other operators to prepare for production runs.
    • Inform the foreman of any production documents required.
    • Liaise with the shift foreman regarding daily production plans and staffing requirements.
    • Report any quality or technical issues to the shift foreman.
    • Prepare production reports and documents.
  • Organizing:
    • Ensure that samples of each print run are retained for storage by the Quality Control Department.
    • Ensure that work areas are clean and that the cleaning schedule has been completed daily.
    • Highlight any management issues that may affect performance.
    • Liaise with the packing crew regarding quality standards.
    • Ensure that any required maintenance is communicated to the Shift Foreman.
  • General Duties:
    • Ensure that the work environment is HACCP compliant.
    • Complete required daily production reports.
    • Work in a safe manner and make OH&S recommendations.
    • Supervise and direct members of the packing crew as required.
    • Carry out any other duties as required that may arise from time to time in accordance with the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic manufacturing.
  • Packaging and printing experience would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with FMCG environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude skills.
  • Strong experience in setting up machines.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Commitment to a long-term opportunity.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
  • Full working rights in Australia with no restrictions on hours worked per week.
  • Ability to start immediately.
