Job Title: Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled excavator operator to join our production mining team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will operate heavy machinery efficiently and safely, complying with policies and procedures, and responding to instructions from the Mining Supervisor. The primary focus will be on excavating ore bodies, berms, and pit walls, while maintaining floor levels and minimizing dilution.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of mining experience as a production excavator operator, with specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 equipment being essential. Additionally, experience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment is required.

Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration are also necessary. The selected candidate should demonstrate skills in mining out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal material for final trim to design batter angles.

A proven commitment to health and safety at all times is essential.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years mining experience as a production excavator operator
