Workshop Trades Assistant Position

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with reputable machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strip down, dismantle, and inspect engines and plant equipment for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment purposes.
  • Perform manual assembly and reassembly of drilling equipment and related machinery within the workshop environment.
  • Test and adjust equipment according to strict company specifications and safety standards.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely to move, store, and organize materials within the workshop.
  • Assist with general workshop duties while ensuring all equipment is maintained to exceptionally high standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in stripping down and handling engineers and plant equipment, preferably in the mining or drilling sectors.
  • Previous workshop experience with drilling or heavy machinery is essential for success in this role.
  • Valid operating licenses for forklifts and overhead cranes are mandatory.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and attention to detail are highly valued.
  • Ability to work proactively as part of a cohesive team.
