We're seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Director to join our team and drive our payroll strategy forward.
Job Description
As the Senior Payroll Director , you'll be responsible for leading our payroll team and ensuring that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time. This includes salaries, wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, bonuses, and commissions for over 15,000 team members across JB Hi-Fi Group.
You'll also be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative, industrial, and company requirements and procedures, as well as managing the preparation of all State and Federal tax obligations.
We're looking for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in payroll management, who can drive continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a payroll management role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Solid understanding of payroll practices, legislation, and compliance
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and flexible approach
- Effective time management to prioritise and follow through on competing demands
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with Excel skills being particularly crucial for data analysis and reporting
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as generous team member discounts across The Good Guys and JB Hi-Fi.
