The Health Information Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing compliance initiatives, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to evolving regulations.

This includes collaborating with various stakeholders to implement effective compliance strategies that mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, and integrity. The specialist will also support the team in implementing and maintaining our Peninsula Care Plan, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in health information management practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff including external partners
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work alone and as a member of the team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Digitised Medical Records
  • Ability to lead change effectively
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools, and techniques
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Health Information Manager
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality outcomes
