Electrical Engineering Leadership

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a major capital works program focused on renewing and upgrading our assets.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise to support the design, replacement, and integration of complex electrical systems. You will work closely with engineering, commercial, and project teams to provide high-level technical input, review key documents, and drive engineering standards that support long-term asset performance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review and make recommendations for final engineering sign-off on concept designs, detailed drawings, reports, and project proposals.
  • Offer engineering advice to resolve complex project challenges, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Develop and assess technical solutions to asset issues, supporting safe and timely commissioning of new or refurbished equipment.
  • Mentor and support junior and graduate engineers, contributing to team capability and professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess and balance technical, commercial, and operational risks.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have significant experience in the design, construction, or management of large-scale industrial or energy infrastructure, ideally within the hydropower industry. Your expertise includes HV switchgear, transformers, alternators, and other electricity generation-related equipment.

You will bring a strong track record of providing technical leadership, managing engineering risk, and delivering high-quality outcomes across complex projects. Confident in engineering reviews and decision-making, you are also a collaborative team player who values continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
