
Expert Midwifery Professional

We are seeking an experienced and motivated midwife to take on a key leadership position within our maternity department. This advanced practice role is ideal for a registered midwife with a strong clinical background and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and education to colleagues within the defined area of midwifery practice.
- Promote evidence-based care, enhance clinical skills, and ensure safe, high-quality care for women and families.
This dynamic role will add further experience and support to our existing team. The successful candidate will work part-time (0.8) to suit the operating requirements of the unit.
What We're Looking For:- Strong leadership ethics and the ability to develop standards of practice.
- Responsible for supervising quality patient care and implementing changes to clinical practice.
- Demonstrates commitment to uphold and promote core values.
- Extensive Clinical Birth Suite experience.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Works well under pressure with a calm approach.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
- Current Registration in the category of Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 4 years post-registration experience, including 3 years' experience in the relevant specialty/area.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience in Midwifery and/or multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators, and other quality projects.
