Job Role

This is a graduate position as a Physiotherapist, with rotations across The Wesley Hospital and potentially St Stephens Hospital. Accommodation may be provided in Hervey Bay where applicable.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an acute setting, supporting multidisciplinary approaches and contributing to the team's care plan. They will assist patients through admitted programs and outpatient services to maximise physical potential and restore movement and function following surgery, illness or injury.

The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation, participating in rotations across Acute hospital, Rehabilitation and Day Rehabilitation; and may include a regional rotation to St Stephens Private Hospital in Hervey Bay.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation in an acute setting, supporting multidisciplinary approaches and contributing to the team's care plan.
  • Join the Allied Health team to assist patients through admitted programs and outpatient services to maximise physical potential and restore movement and function following surgery, illness or injury.
  • Participate in rotations across Acute hospital, Rehabilitation and Day Rehabilitation; may include a regional rotation to St Stephens Private Hospital in Hervey Bay.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration required.
  • Australian Working Rights needed.
  • Recent graduate within 12 months of commencement.
  • Ability to commence mid January.
  • One Acute Tertiary hospital placement desirable.
  • Commitment to teamwork and strong communication skills essential.
  • Willingness to undertake 1 rotation at St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay, with accommodation provided.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and learning required.
  • Experience in health desirable.
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with infection control requirements.
