About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen in the bank's elite engineering and solution design team, where you will play a key role in shaping their data capabilities. As a Senior Data Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting data assets, as well as creating templates and implementation methods and standards. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the bank's data strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical design discussions, estimation, and planning for data-related solutions.
  • Implement and leverage data platforms, including data integration tools, data warehouses, analytics, and data science.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and domain solution architects to negotiate proposed solution designs.
  • Design data-related solutions, including SQL Server, Azure, Synapse, SPARK & SQL, and modern ways of solving problems using machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Partner with CTOs, chief product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the bank's technical ambitions are met.
  • Oversee the development of data engineering teams, optimizing delivery through training, outsourcing, recruitment, and automation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in solution design, data engineering, and high-level design.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, including data integration tools, data warehouses, analytics, and data science.
  • Ability to lead technical design discussions, estimation, and planning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
