Maintenance Assistant Job Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing warehouse floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms using self-propelled floor scrubbing machinery, sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping.
  • Emptying garbage from designated areas throughout the warehouse and operating the garbage compactor and cardboard baler.
  • Reviewing daily schedules for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs.
  • Following safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment and wearing safety goggles when using the compactor and baler.

In addition to these responsibilities, this role involves painting, maintaining equipment, performing routine repairs, and assisting with building displays and fixtures.

The Maintenance Assistant is also responsible for maintaining the grounds outside the warehouse, including leaf blowing, litter pickup, roof checks, and building maintenance.

Prompt and courteous member service is essential for this role.

Non-essential functions and tasks may include:

  • Assisting with front-end duties as necessary.
  • Assisting in other departments of the warehouse as needed.
